How Your Tandem Paragliding Flight Works

1. Drive to Pfronten

90 minutes from Munich via the A7. Free parking at the Breitenbergbahn cable car station. Easy to find, well signposted.

2. Meet Your Pilot

Your DHV-certified tandem pilot meets you at the cable car. Together you ride up to the launch site at 1,670 m. Time for questions and a quick briefing.

3. Take Off

A few steps downhill and you're airborne. The paraglider fills with wind, lifts you gently, and suddenly you're flying. Most people say: "That was way easier than I expected!"

4. Fly & Land

15–25 minutes soaring silently over the Alps. Mountains at eye level, valleys below, complete freedom. Then a soft landing on a meadow — and an unforgettable memory.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is tandem paragliding safe?

Yes. Our pilots are DHV-certified (German Hang Gliding Association) with years of experience. Every paraglider has a rescue parachute system, and we only fly in safe weather conditions. If conditions aren't right, we reschedule for free.

Do I need any experience?

None at all. Your pilot handles everything — takeoff, flying, and landing. You just need to take a few steps at the start and enjoy the view. We fly with complete beginners every day.

Is 90 minutes from Munich worth the drive?

Absolutely. You're trading a short drive for a flight from 1,838 metres with 890 metres of height difference and views to the Zugspitze. There's nothing like it closer to Munich. Most guests make a day trip out of it and love the drive through the Allgäu countryside.

What should I wear?

Sturdy shoes (hiking boots or trainers), comfortable clothes in layers, and a jacket. We provide the helmet and all safety gear. Bring sunglasses with a strap if you have them.

Can I take photos during the flight?

Yes! Your pilot can carry a GoPro camera (€35 for photos and video). You can also bring your own phone with a secure wrist strap.

What if the weather is bad on my booked day?

We reschedule for free — no questions asked. About 87% of all bookings fly as planned. We'll contact you the evening before if conditions look uncertain.
