Safety Helmet
Available in various sizes, individually adjusted before the flight.
Rescue Device

Clothing by Season
At Breitenberg, it is always cooler at altitude than in the valley — even in summer. Plan your clothing using the onion principle: multiple layers that you can add or remove as needed.
- Summer: Long athletic pants, long-sleeved shirt, thin jacket, sunglasses with strap
- Winter: Warm ski pants, fleece + wind jacket, warm waterproof gloves
- Year-round: Sunscreen (SPF 30+) — UV radiation is stronger at altitude
- Onion Principle: Multiple layers are better than one thick jacket
Important Limits
What You Should NOT Bring
Wrong Clothing
Cotton t-shirts (get wet and cold), shorts or skirts, open shoes like sandals, flip-flops or high heels.
Valuables
Loose jewelry or watches, large amounts of cash, expensive unsecured electronics, important documents (except ID).
Prohibited Items
Alcohol or drugs, sharp objects, large bulky bags, pets.
Your Preparation: Step by Step
24 Hours Before
Check weather forecast and wait for confirmation from your pilot. Prepare clothing (warm, wind- & weatherproof). Have ID and booking confirmation ready. No alcohol the evening before.
Morning of Flight Day
Light breakfast (don't eat too much). Onion look: wear multiple layers. Sturdy hiking boots or sneakers. Pack sunglasses and sunscreen.
At the Meeting Point
Meet the pilot at the main entrance of the Breitenbergbahn. Show ID and booking confirmation. Ask all open questions — your pilot takes time for a personal briefing.
Equipment FAQ
Can I bring my own camera?
Yes, if it can be safely mounted (e.g., GoPro with chest strap). Loose devices are not allowed for safety reasons. Alternatively, we offer professional photo and video packages starting at 30 €.
What happens to my valuables?
You can safely store all items you don't need in your car or at the meeting point. Only take the essentials — ID, phone, and possibly some cash for parking fees (5 €).
Do I need a special level of fitness?
No, basic physical fitness is sufficient. You only need to be able to run a few steps during takeoff. If you have health concerns, contact us in advance — we'll be happy to advise you.
